Oh, Mary, when I see a big bowl of strawberries, I always think of the time when you were abouta six years old. You were spending the weekend and I had strawberries for breakfast - you had to eat whatever I had prepared before you got strawberries. Uncle C finished first and your eyes got so BIG because you were afraid you would not get any of the fruit ... Of course, there were plenty for you and you got the strawberries even tho you never ate any of your breakfast!!
Boy, I wasn't spoiled at all, was I? Thanks for the memory, and the laugh. I can just imagine my panic! Uncle Charlie was such a fan of fruit, I imagine he wanted to finish his breakfast quickly, too. :)

You were very much loved - not spoiled. And, the strawberries were probably better for you than whatever I had prepared for breakfast!
You always made the most lovely breakfasts. I have many fond memories of your kitchen! :)
